Jacob Viner (Montreal, 3 de maig de 1892 - Princeton, Nova Jersey, 12 de setembre de 1970) va ser un economista quebequès i és considerat junt amb Frank Knight i Henry Simons ser un dels mentors inspiradors de la primerenca Escola d'Economia de Chicago a la dècada de 1930. Era un personatge líder de la facultat de la Universitat de Chicago.[1]

[modifica]Viner es va oposar a John Maynard Keynes durant la Gran Depressió.
